Tony Menzie
Writer, artist, manipulator of light and shadow …
Tony Menzie is an illustrator and graphic novelist, known for his detailed commissions and dynamic cover art for a variety of Australian comic titles. He is the creator of the samurai zombie epic ‘Fallen’ and is also the twisted mind behind ’Killer Bea’, a dark tale from the pages of PRESENTS: Noir.
Tony works full time as a freelance voice actor, video producer and writer, producing content and recording voiceovers for a myriad of TV, radio and video productions throughout Australia since the 1990s, while freelancing for art clients during his down time.
He specialises in digital artwork, primarily portraits and comic covers. Tony’s freelance projects have ranged from comic covers and full page illustrations, portraits, caricatures, storyboards for television commercials, to stylised re-creations of family photos and realistic illustrations of pop culture icons from the past and present.
Tony has read comics for as long as he can remember ( back to the 1960’s ) and truly loves the art form of sequential storytelling. A fond favourite from his childhood is 2000AD ( he still misses the plastic space spinner free gift from Prog #1 that he sadly lost on a neighbours roof ) so he is particularly proud to be a founding member of the new black and white Australian comic anthology series PRESENTS: Noir.
